History

A building on the site of the present Junior School or Pond site as it is now known, was altered in 1848 to form a National School for the children of Lingwood, North and South Burlingham.  In 1910 it was enlarged to accommodate 162 children.

Primary education in Lingwood

Lingwood 1st and Nursery School and Lingwood Junior School were closed on 31st August 2011 and a new Community Primary School was opened on 1st September 2011.
